I recently was told that you have to take out the "core" of the strawberry as it can be harmful to your health if eaten. I have never heard of this before, and I have never "Cored" my strawberries. Please help me out. Thanks

After frosting a cake I sometimes like to decorate with  strawberries. If they have been sliced or even washed and tops cut off the red bleeds into my frosting.  Is there anyway to prevent this bleeding?

I think it is a really good idea if you are growing strawberries not to let the strawberries get wet when you are watering them,because for some reason they last a whole lot longer!
