There are many strawberry festivals held around the world each year in celebration of strawberry season. Each strawberry festival is unique, but some of the common elements are often a youth pageant, carnival rides, carnival food, booths selling homemade goods, strawberry shortcake, musical performances, cattle judging, art contests, and baking competitions.

Most strawberry festivals charge a small entrance fee, but it is well worth it to experience strawberry related fun for an entire day or weekend. You'll probably have the chance to meet with local strawberry growers as well and buy fresh strawberries.
