Must Have Dippers for Your Chocolate Fondue Party

The holidays are right around the corner and chances are good that you may be in party planning mode. How are you going to top what you did last year? If you’re looking to try something different this year, why not try a chocolate fondue party? It might be a little messy for the kids, but it’s great fun for adults! All you need is chocolate and a fondue pot (or a slow cooker), fondue forks, and goodies to dip into the mixture. If you really want to make an impression you can also buy or rent a chocolate fountain!

Here are our favorite chocolate fondue dippers:

Strawberries
Strawberries are the “go-to” for chocolate fondue parties. Chocolate covered strawberries are such a tasty treat and it’s even more fun to enjoy them when you’ve dipped the strawberries yourself! The bigger the strawberry, the better, when it comes to dipping.

Other Fruits
Strawberries aren’t the only fruit that make great dippers. Other favorites are bananas, pineapples, and apples. Fruit should be dry and as cold as possible. To prevent browning while the fruits are waiting to be dipped and enjoyed, drizzle lemon juice on them.

Marshmallows
It’s kind of like roasting a marshmallow, but instead of holding it on a stick over a flame you’re holding it on a stick into chocolate. If you want to get fancy you can top the chocolate dipped marshmallow with additional toppings like sprinkles or nuts.

Pretzels
Pretzels of all shapes and varieties are even tastier when dipped in chocolate. It’s something about that salty and sweet combination – it satisfies two common cravings at once! Probably the easiest way to dip pretzels in chocolate is to buy pretzel sticks.

Potato Chips
Similar to pretzels, chocolate dipped potato chips are a yummy combination of salty and sweet!

Bacon
Okay, this is one of the weirder suggestions, but hear us out! Bacon is everywhere today. Bacon cupcakes, bacon pancakes, even bacon frosting! It may not be for everyone but it’s worth a try. You might be pleasantly surprised!

Cake
Really, almost any cake will do. If you think it will taste good with chocolate, add it to the list! Cut the cake up into small pieces. If you can, offer a variety of different cakes. Try pound cake, angel food cake, and cheesecake. Yum!

Cookies
Same as cake, if you think the cookie would taste even better with a chocolate topping, go for it! Same goes for brownies. Chocolate on chocolate? Not a problem!

Breads
If you’re looking for an alternative to cake as a dipper because you think that’s too sweet, fresh baked bread is another option.

Graham Crackers
What’s great about graham crackers is that they’re sweet, but not too sweet. Set them up next to the marshmallows and guests can create their own makeshift s’mores.
