How to Make Chocolate-Dipped Peeps

Yes, they do sell chocolate-dipped Peeps, but what can we say? Dipping stuff in chocolate is kind of our thing! Besides, these almost-too-adorable choco-covered confections are super easy to create, allowing anyone to take their dessert table to the next level this Easter Sunday.

As for which Peeps to use, we went with the bunnies so that we could add on some tiny marshmallow tails, but you can choose whichever shape you’d like.

Supplies:

Paper Straws

Peeps

Melting Chocolate (we used both white and dark)

Mini Marshmallows (cut in half)

Steps:

1. Secure the Peeps onto a straw. The straws that we went with were very strong, but you may still need to poke a hole into the marshmallow first.

2. Melt the chocolate. We melted ours in a microwave at 15-second intervals to make sure that it didn’t burn.

3. Once the chocolate is fully melted, transfer it to a wide-mouthed bowl (if it’s not already in one) and dip the Peeps into the chocolate.

4. After a Peep is completely covered in chocolate, lay it on wax paper or a plastic cutting sheet. If using bunnies, place half of a mini marshmallow onto the Peep and gently press it in to secure it.

5. Allow the chocolate to harden and enjoy!
