Mother’s Day Brunch Cocktail with Strawberries
Posted by Mackenzie Fraser on Apr 17, 2018
Let’s face it, Mom sometimes gets a little too excited about an Executive Mimosa. And since Mother’s Day is all about Mom (and brunch without booze is just a sad late breakfast), we figured it’d be only right to include this Mother’s Day brunch cocktail on our Mother’s Day menu. And don’t forget to visit Strawberries.com to send something totally delicious in the form of a Mother’s Day gift to Mom for Mother’s Day.
Incredibly simple, this irresistible drink is the product of only a few easy-to-find ingredients (one of them being strawberries, naturally).
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 lime, thinly sliced
- Strawberries, hulled
- Prosecco, chilled
Steps:
- Make simple syrup. Bring 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved and remove from heat.
- Add 1 cut strawberry and 1 tablespoon of simple syrup to each glass.
- Use a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon to crush the strawberries in the glass.
- Add a slice of lime to each glass, along with several ice cubes, and fill with Prosecco.
This drink was inspired by The Strawberry Muddle.
