A Collection of Yummy Strawberry Salads

When you think of a strawberry recipe, what comes to mind? If you’re anything like us and have a sweet tooth you’re probably thinking about strawberry shortcakes, strawberry rhubarb pie, strawberry tortes, and chocolate dipped strawberries. All delicious choices, but what if you want a healthier option? Luckily there are plenty of strawberry salad recipes that can also satisfy your strawberry cravings. Here are a few of our favorites!
Fruit Salad
What’s great about a fruit salad is that there really are no rules, there’s no wrong way to make fruit salad! Just round up the strawberries along with your other favorite fruits, wash them and cut them up into pieces, and toss them together in a bowl. Voila! Fruit salad!
Spinach and Strawberry Salad
We’re always hearing about how we need more “greens” in our diet and spinach is considered one of the top “super foods” that offers superior health protection.
Ingredients:
- 2 bunches of spinach, washed and torn into small pieces
- 4 cups sliced strawberries
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup white wine vinegar
- ½ cup white sugar
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
Directions:
- In large bowl mix the spinach and strawberries.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all other ingredients.
- Pour over mixture over the spinach and strawberries and toss together to coat.
- Serve!

Chicken Strawberry Salad
Why not add some protein to your salad?
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 8 cups torn mixed salad greens
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
- In a large skillet, cook and stir chicken in oil and butter until no longer pink. Add 1/2 cup salad dressing (of your choice!); cook 1 minute longer.
- Top the salad greens with chicken, sliced strawberries, walnuts and additional salad dressing if desired.
- Serve!

Avocado Strawberry Spinach Salad
Avocado’s aren’t just for guacamole! Packed with nearly 20 vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients they are a great addition to your strawberry salad!
Ingredients:
- 6 cups fresh baby spinach
- 1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 or 2 avocadoes, diced
- 4 ounces crumbled gorgonzola or blue cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- half a small red onion, thinly sliced
Directions:
Simply toss all of the ingredients together, add salad dressing if desired, and serve!
