In New Hampshire, we’re spoiled with dozens of horizon-meeting strawberry fields marked on hilly back roads by little more than hand painted signs. For just a few dollars, you can enjoy dozens of perfectly ripe, rubies of the fruit world and, if you want, you can even pick your own.

But the dog days are slowly approaching, announcing with their still, quiet haze the fall of summer. And that means no more farm stand strawberries.
